Re: Newbie here
curious to your search terms i suppose lol jk..
goto the CDMA upgrades sections in the TP2 forum here.. then goto the HSPL Thread-thatll unlock your phone for custom ROMS... then ALL threads under the stickies in the upgrades folder are all ROMs that WILL WORK on your TP2..

Re: Newbie here
If you had trouble finding info on how to flash a ROM after a month of lurking then I suspect you'll have problems with the actual procedure, as well.

ive never unlocked before but make sure you flash cdma roms and never a gsm rom. follow the steps of the hspl unlocker step by step.

Re: Newbie here
one you get unlocked (just plain easy to do) you can download and CDMA rom and flash as you do a stock rom no difference in the flashing process. Its easy as pie my freind!
Unlocker thread for CDMA phones: http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/cdma-tp2-u...w-hardspl.html Then just grab a rom from the upgread section of the TP2 CDMA thread and start flashing but becarefull it becomes a addiction!!!

Re: Newbie here
If it's so easy, why are this and other forums so littered with posts from people who have problems doing it? It's only easy the 2nd time you do it.

Re: Newbie here
its really not as hard as they make is sound. 2 important things to remember.
1. Disable any a/v or firewall you have just for this process. 2. if your on vista or windows 7 make sure to right click and run as administrator. those two steps followed right there you shouldn't have a issue. 9 times outta 10 when they go to unlock a a/v or firewall mess it up. then it shows you already tried and thus the need to pay message. their server things you did it already. so disable that shit so it goes smooth the first time around.

Re: Newbie here
well on my dell axim x51v it was easy, i flashed many roms even a couple of 6.5(x) roms but i reverted back to a makuu a09 6.1 21055 rom because of only having 8mb ram free. on my tp it was harder because all the roms i flashed would crash within 24 hours no matter what method i used. and now on my tp2 i have no problems of that sort, i just flashed then went about my business

Because some dont follow instructions/read up on how its done first!!! They just jump in then BOOM, issues! Lets not talk like this and scare the man into not releaseing the full potential of his phone! There are problums that can occur! Last edited by ooxteme; 10-02-2010 at 07:25 PM. |
