Flash stock rom w/ no Activesync?

I can get to the bootloader and I've flashed other Roms that way but when I try with the VZW stock 6.5 it says the connection is bad.

I can't get an activesync connection which Im sure is my fault for flashing from stock -> mightyrom -> mightyrom instead of stock -> mightyrom -> stock -> mightyrom

Am I supposed to use a different exe than whats in the sticky?

copy nbh to root of sdcard and enter boot manually and flash, no need to connect.

When you connect the usb cable while in bootloader, does it say USB at the bottom (changes from serial)? If so, you should be able to flash the ROM. Activesync is not needed for bootloader. If it doesn't change to usb, either the port on your phone or computer may be going bad (in which case you can flash from sdcard as mentioned).
