Re: GPS help needed
I had this problem with a replacement device I received. Only apps that used tower polling were able to locate me. But to be on the safe side, be sure that "Location Services" are turned on. Go to "Start" -> "Settings" -> "Personal" -> "Phone" -> "CDMA Services" -> "Location Setting"
Additionally I would look for a cab called Chartcross (it's cooked into a lot of custom roms in the GPS folder). I'm not entirely sure what it's for...but on it's simplest level it shows satellite strength. If your com port settings are correct and your in an area where you normally receive satellite data (this means you should not be in the basement or a fallout shelter) and your GPS is in fact functioning correctly, than this should tell you if you are receiving information from the Mothership. On my end, I had to call Verizon and let them walk me through a myriad of steps and they finally decided to replace my replacement when my GPS still wouldn't locate me with the their paid for VZ navigator application. Good Luck!
