Re: Going back to WinMo from Android (Samsung Moment) TP or TP2?

I have had a TP2 for about 3 weeks now, and I would not want to go back to the TP (Something happened to it, the backlight stays on all the time so the battery dies very quickly).

I would highly recommend the TP2 over the TP for the reasons most people posted, It's more responsive, better battery life, and bigger screen.

wow dude. in your thread title u say that u are going back to wm from android. so why the hell would u want to get a TP for the so-called "better android experience"? thats kind of contradictory. the TP has so many hardware problems that it will defeat whatever android experience u may get. the only thing the TP is really good for is that u can get a TP2 for free from it as a replacement cuz it has so many problems.

Re: Going back to WinMo from Android (Samsung Moment) TP or TP2?

i have used both. they are both great devices. if you can not stand big phones don't get the tp2. there is a huge difference in the size of the two. me, i don't mind big phones so i absolutely loved the tp2. the screen is unbelievable compared to the tp1. the keyboard and tilt screen on the tp2 were really cool. the tp1 is great if you are into smaller phones. but i think that would need to be the deciding factor because they are both great phones and have their own benefits depending on what your looking for

Re: Going back to WinMo from Android (Samsung Moment) TP or TP2?

haha, sorry to bring back the thread, but i decided to go back to windows mobile till i can get an evo. picked up a used tp2 for 75 bucks. god i missed this phone. maybe not windows itself but this phone overall. i think android is pretty functional on this device so i will be loading android on the sd card once i get a new one. i think i want to get a bigger one. using 4g now. it still has all my android files on it that i don't want to loose when i format it. i really enjoyed android but i didn't enjoy the device itself. htc phones have been really good to me.

Who left android to come back to their TP2?

anyone using an android phone for the first time go back to their beloved tp2? or any other windows device for that matter. i have been a windows player for a long time and about a year ago i made the switch to android. unfortunately i made it on a samsung moment. i know there are going to be moment users that swear it is the best phone out there but i really was not impressed. i went through multiple htc devices before going to the moment and i got to say i think htc does phones better than samsung. only other samsung i have had was the small upstage. my kid had the a900. htc phones are built really well it seems and they take the time to make sure they work well with the software they have. i will definately be going back to android but not till i can get on a htc device like the evo. think i will wait till htc comes out with another 4g android device though so i can find an evo at a good price. anyone else in the same situation post up some comments

Wait, so you posted in THIS thread with the exact same topic a full 25mins before creating this current one? Completely unnecessary. Mods please close this when able.

Re: Who left android to come back to their TP2?

these kind of threads always cause WM vs Android flame wars or worse HTC vs Samsung flamewars (seen a couple of these already) but if i were u. u made a right choice the TP2 has a bigger screen and better keyboard(onscreen and hardware) than the moment but if i were u id wait further for a wp7 device as thats where the future is.

I own both a TP2 and an Epic on 2 lines just for me, does that count? lol

The TP2 at the time was meant to be a high end phone, the moment was aimed to be a medium end phone at best...the moment also literally came out when its GSM version was already outlived its shelf life...If your gonna compare try a real phone like an Epic

ya i see your point i dont like thread jacking other people but i guess it is a pretty similar thread. my bad now we both have posts in here that doesnt really matter to the thread. and actually the op of this thread was actually stating he was leaving android and was trying to decide between the two devices. the thread that i started was wanting people to tell the reason why they left their androids to come back to their tp2. while similar it was in fact a different topic
