Re: GUIDE FOR Sprint TP2 on boost

Hello people. First off, I am looking to use a Touch Pro 2 on Boost Mobile. I currently have a Boost account, but it is for an iden phone, so a question came up for me. Does anyone know if we can port an old number, iden to cdma, ourselves on the boost mobile website somewhere? On my iden account, there is an "update handset" option, but there's nothing about going to cdma from there. I just don't want to deal with customer service if I don't have to.

Also Masetas, thanks for providing a guide. Much appreciated. I'm not sure what you mean by number 6 though. I'm pretty new with cell phone tech/knowledge, so yeah.

Re: GUIDE FOR Sprint TP2 on boost

Your welcome for the guide.

You can port an Iden number to cdma at no cost but not sure if you can do it on the website yourself. Boost CS wont give you any hassle they will just do it all they will ask you for is what phone to transfer the account too. Once they answer it takes about 2minutes for the account to be transfered.

Re: GUIDE FOR Sprint TP2 on boost

A IDEN number can be ported to Boost CDMA. You might need a cheapo CDMA phone though to get it done. Then, once done, call Boost and tell them you have some other cheapo CDMA phone, (dont say you have a TP2), and presto! No flashing like some scammers on craigslist state. Update your profile and Data should work. For MMS it really depends on what ROM you are in. Why flash to a new Rom? Faster phone, better battery life, more mods!

Re: GUIDE FOR Sprint TP2 on boost

Hey again guys. So I called customer service and had them port my number from iden to cdma. He said they were having some issues with the porting but that my line should be up and working within 3 hours. It's been almost 12 hours and my phone is not connected to Boost Mobile, any idea what's up? When I dial 611, it says "your account could not be validated".

Re: GUIDE FOR Sprint TP2 on boost

Has anyone switched from Metro to Boost? I have a boost phone on Boost, and it seems sluggish. I have a TP2 on Metro the internet svc is a little slow. I hear since Boost uses Sprint towers the internet svc is faster?

So, my question, any differences noticed switching to Boost from Metro...

Re: GUIDE FOR Sprint TP2 on boost

Greetings everyone.....well my TP2 works well on Boost. The speeds are great and I can Wifi Router to my PC, use GPS google and all...but one thing I cannot figure out and it bugs the heck out of me because it is so simple...is.......I cannot picture text anyone.....when I try to send a picture and hit send on the picture the options come up and text is not highlighted only mail which is all my email accounts I have on my phone? Normally on the Sprint network with TP2 the option comes up for Sprint mail....so now that, that is gone, can you not picture text using Boost.......There has to be a way for the phone works perfect in all other angles except that. What am I missing?????

Re: GUIDE FOR Sprint TP2 on boost

Yes you did. You missed the solution to your problem. Go back to Post #1 of this thread by yours truly and look at step #8 follow it exactly how it states too and you will be able to send MMS without a problem. Let me know your results

Re: GUIDE FOR Sprint TP2 on boost

I feel like a fool now I read so fast I thought that, that was for texting only not picture texting...but anyways...so my next question is...after you install the .cab file....Step 2, do you do the soft reset via the phone using the red little button on the phone by the battery or use the soft reset software you provided? The explanation on the bottom of the post on the soft reset was a little confusing? Thanks in advance!
