I hear ya, its overwhelming to look/read all the threads for every rom out there. maybe when you get a good review of a rom there could be a way to make a list and get a "General Thought" sticky to this, heck make a poll maybe?

Ok, first why do u guys say that there is no best rom. There are best roms out there. Now there is no ultimate rom out there, there are just best ones for certain category's. For example the most loaded rom, or the one close to stock. Then these need to be rated in terms of performance and stability. There are best roms out there, the other day i used this loaded rom (it had everything i wanted and more) but it hard reset itself twice on me and froze countless times. This was in a period of less than 24 hours. Now im back to the always stable Mr.X rom that always works. I just dont like it, cause i gotta sit there and customize the thing every single time they release a new rom. This is just my 2cents.

I've tried BigMaxSense three times (21909 twice, 23569 once) and really liked it (great customization and preloaded apps) except I had stability issues all three times.

I'm playing with Mighty now, not too impressed so I'm probably going to try Timberwolf/MaxSense tonight or tomorrow.

Stock 6.5 (Sprint) has been the most stable, but the effing flip clock drives me nuts, it's just butt ugly even when it's not flipping.

theres a reason theres no Stickie or Polls, because they outdate so fast.. They never stay the same for very long.. thats why.. and this thread is a lazy mans way to get info..

**EDIT** OH SNAP!!! http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showpost.p...1&postcount=21 Thats YOU lazy guy, in a "Best Rom" ROM 2 weeks ago saying "So really when people say "the best ROM is what works for you" it's true, and the only way to find out is to download a few, play with them and decide for yourself." Then you turn around and start a ROM thread.. Genius! Pure Genius I tell ya! DOH!

See... the funny thing is that's NOT what I asked for here... it's what you're making it.

I asked for thoughts on current products... "what you're using and why"

I didn't ask "what's best" just for some simple thoughts.

Simple thoughts seem to be your specialty, so instead of sitting there acting like you're better than everyone... contribute more than a link. I didn't ask for a link I asked for personal experiences.

I'm not going to to try and say who's taking the right/wrong approach here... we'll let the rest of the readers decide.

Umm maybe if you actually read through these you would figure out what you wanna kno. See you simple minded individual ppl make these whats the best roms threads then the ppl usually put their input on what their rom is and why they like it. So instead of complaining about how you want a answer in ur face on ur thread move ur hand that extra inch and click the link for us and noone ever reply to this thread again. Make him work for his answer!!!!!!

THIS IS NOT A "BEST ROM" THREAD.

The point was that there are a bunch of newer ROMs from Chefs I don't know, so I was trying to figure out what everyone's using... why is this so offensive to you? And really, is that the spirit we want around here? "Don't answer his question?"

Pretty sure that's not what we're all looking for.

anyways, vins no-cookie builds have been my favorite for the past two months or so, before that was mighty rom.

D@mn, its getting hostile around here. lol. Guess I can see both sides of the arg.

Now, not to shock everyone... but MediumHill rom, hands down. Very simple and straight to the point... It just works very well. Very Quick, Lots of Ram, Long Battery Life, Things just work right on it, Has Threaded Email. Comes in Titanium, Sense, CHT, MaxSense Flavors.

For the record here... I didn't just stumble on the site today... look at my rep.

I'm on my 3rd PPC, and have flashed countless ROMS on all of them over the past 3 years... I just noticed that there were suddenly a plethora of new ROMS from non "heavy hitters" like Mike, X, or NRG. Why the insta-negativity for simply asking what people are using... I don't understand.
