Re: Review of 4500 mAh extended battery for TP2
I was trying to figure out a way to use the camera to take a pic of itself with mirrors lol. But then I just got lazy and googled and found this:
![]() I guess I just use the crap out of mine. I'm a noob and just have the stock rom, maybe I'll try mighty rom. If the difference is that big, maybe instead of 13 hours I get 20. Again this may not be the solution if you already have access to recharge spots, or don't mind carrying spare batteries. It's 100 bucks and all the cool kids make fun of you for your bulky 1980's phone. I personally would rather carry one heavy thing (phone with extended battery) than two light things (less bulky phone with spare battery in shirt pocket) but if I had to do it again, I would probably buy that 2000 mah andida and just keep it in the car. $10 > $100. Hell, I'd buy two. |

also to the guy that can go day and a half without charging with heavy use on mighty ROM - damn dude-grats , u r the only one. I used Mighty and while its a great ROM didnt get much better batt performance. Try using HTC youtube app for 3 hours straight-do you still get a day and a half?

Re: Review of 4500 mAh extended battery for TP2
I'm also skeptical about people claiming 20-30 hours. That's wishful thinking, or they feel heavy use = texting all day.
Mightyrom has improved my battery life, for sure, but I also overclocked the phone. On the whole though I'm happy, SOMEthing had to be done. The stock battery is useless. I used to have to worry about charging. I'd get in the car ... "better take advantage of this charging opportunity". I'd be at work and have to find an open socket while I worked, keeping the phone in the next room instead of right next to me. The last time I was on a plane, before the flight all the AC sockets at the terminal were taken by other passengers except one that was broken, it wouldn't hold the plug in. You had to manually hold it there. Guess what I did for 15 minutes before my flight? And I ran out of juice anyway before we landed. Now, I now no longer think about charging. I plug in when I go to bed. I do whatever I want with the phone all day. I plug in when I go to bed. Repeat. |

Re: Review of 4500 mAh extended battery for TP2
Yeah, for 100 bucks I coulda bought 10 of those andida batteries
![]() I'm just wondering out loud but there may be one small extra benefit to this beast of a battery. I've read that some overclock speeds take up so much juice that you must be plugged into AC to use them. Would a big battery help with this I wonder? Or can the phone only suck so much energy from a battery, no matter how big? |
