Re: anyone have problems with this phone?

I've had zero problems with this phone. Currently running 23127 with Barin's OSBuilder kitchen with lots of content courtesy of groove.

Getting ready to upgrade to 23129 and some newer packages from groove.

From what I read you can go up to a certain speed without AC power and then past that you must plug in.

But I'm not sure if that's entirely true. Some programs let you change a lot of little settings in the overclock speed, while others just let you set the speed by itself. I've heard people saying using one program they can't get over 700 without problems, but using another program with tweaked settings they can.

Also what happens if you have one of those huge extended batteries? Can it draw the extra juice needed from that? I have one but haven't tested high speeds yet. Just sticking with 633 for now.

edit: oh yeah, I voted in the poll. The phone itself is great but the WM software definitely needs work. Maybe if you never install anything, keep the default rom and default settings, and don't try to tweak it... it'll run pretty smoothly. But once you customize it and add some good apps, it seems like there are numerous small problems. I have to soft reset daily at the very least to deal with the wm 6.5 memory leak.

Re: anyone have problems with this phone?

it looks like there are alot of problems with this phone as like all (most) other phones,
just take a look at the threads, even though alot of the threads are people asking for help/questions. but it definitely looks like alot of problems.

ive had my share of problems with this thing, a few problems rite out of the box.
the tp2 didnt even make 1 phone call or text.
dont get me wrong this is a awesome phone, but it does have it share of problems.

Re: anyone have problems with this phone?

I've never had any phone call related or any other problems that would result in a replacement on this phone and, especially since I went back to 6.1 the soft reset causing problems were reduced too

Re: anyone have problems with this phone?

I've had no problems with this phone that haven't been able to be resolved by talking to people on this board. This is a FAR cry from the Telus P6800....or Mogul. Man...every other week I had beef with it!

Re: anyone have problems with this phone?

I go all the way back to the HTC 6600 Smartphone and they all have had there quirks but the TP2's hardware has been great, no paint flaking the slider is still super solid (my 6800's slider was horrible it got lose sooo quick). I think this has been one of the best phones I have had.

Re: anyone have problems with this phone?

This is my 4th htc device and never had any "hardware" related issues. All bugs I have experiened have usually been solved with software and rom updates. I usually get a new phone once a year and ***** it out in between. Just my 2 cents. Maybe i am lucky.
