Re: Poll, windows mobile 6.1, 6.5 or 6.5.x?

6.5.x is by far the best for my daily use, due to XXXL hands. Plus, I've had no lock up, SOD, or performance issues with it on the TP2 to date. Many thanks go to Vin255764 for his solid Plutonium ROM builds.

Best to all,
R

Re: Poll, windows mobile 6.1, 6.5 or 6.5.x?

My vote is kinda skewed... I've not yet tried 6.5x... I would like to at some point. But hesitate to do so without an official release from Sprint.
I like the stability that the stock ROM brings. Even though I have not yet tried any of the cooked ROMs.
But that's my vote nonetheless.

Re: Poll, windows mobile 6.1, 6.5 or 6.5.x?

that stock Sprint 6.5 is anything but stable I've gotten SODs and other lockups just from listening to music and texting at the same time. the best stability resides in 6.1 and besides there really isn't that much difference in features and interface between the late builds of 6.1 (21055+) and 6.5 (21889). there's a slight improvement in UI in 6.5.x but its not worth giving up stability and reliability for.

Re: Poll, windows mobile 6.1, 6.5 or 6.5.x?

6.5.x

i am always slow to upgrade in UI like it took me forever to try Sense 2.5 and i only started using 6.5.x a month or so ago, but unlike some i got used to it so quickly that wen i tried the MightyRom 6.5 upgrade i had trouble getting back used to 6.5 so now im back on Full Force

I like the themes for 6.5.x better it seems to come together better than the 6.5 themes and taskbars. The only thing i would like is if the taskbar got more notifications lined up like how Android is

In any program? Because your all people button looks like one character more and it would have gone to three dots. "All messages" does not cut off?

Which rom?

Re: Poll, windows mobile 6.1, 6.5 or 6.5.x?

6.5.x has additional finger-friendly menus and screens vs. 6.5. Especially the more recent builds.

My custom 6.5.x (built myself using OSBuilder and 23127 SYS) is more stable than the stock Sprint 6.5. It's been a week since I flashed the last version and have had zero issues, and memory use is behaving well.

"All Messages" and "Update Now" (weather tab) do both get cut off. Not a big deal, though.

The "All People" above is a dialer issue. I see "All People" correctly in my dialer.

You should add In "In my opinion or experience" to your answer as my experience has been a polar oposite.
Nothing but stability.Much better than 6.1 I had screens of death when I upgraded my old phone. Then got a replacement and everything works great.

So the true answer is just the same as with any other pole. Everyone has an opinion and theirs is the best. So best thing to do is to experience them on your own. That's just my opinion.
