I think we need someone to "crack" the .exe or else maybe we can figure out the address it connects to check for updates and block it somehow?

does windows mobile have a hosts file equivalent?

While the BING update is not wonderful, the traffic is much more accurate than the Google maps traffic.

Here should be a fix to stop the Older Version of Bing from updating.

Try it out and let me know...

Hey there,

I gave the cab a try, but it installs the new version of bing, specifically 5.1.2010.6280, not classic style 4.6.9179.1.

Still, thank you for giving it your attention! I still hope we can find a solution since Microsoft has given us the shaft and ignored all of our requests here:
Bing: Don't like new version; won't let me use old version!

Humm... That was the Cab you posted before. Do you have a copy of the old Bing?

I'm so sorry, I mislabelled and uploaded the wrong Bing!

Here is the actual Bing 4.6.9179.1, notice the small size, 644KB.

Not going to work with the old BING. The New one has a Configure File that is easy to change while the old one does not have this. I leaning towards a no go on this.

Anyone know if it would be possible to make a mortscript that would enable airplane mode when bing is launched, wait until bing is loaded, then disable airplane mode automatically?

This might be our best hope.
