Perhaps you should actually read the threads, and see what the problem is before making statements like this.

On the Microsoft thread, there are users whose devices are no longer supported, and who thus can't even install the new Bing. So what they had has been taken away. But yeah, I guess they should just "go with the flow."

And for the rest of us, the search results for movies, restaurants, etc. are completely useless. We've gone from having a little app that could efficiently be used to check movies, movie times, etc., whereever we were, to one that is virtually useless for those functions.

I'm usually not this pointed in my replies, but I'll have to admit yours really got to me - perhaps you should re-read what you said, as well as the original complaints, and maybe you'll understand why some of us are pi$$ed at Microsoft....
Well excuse the hell out of me for stating what I think about Bing. Seriously, could you be a bigger baby? Honestly, I want to know......

and I never said "Don't be pissed at Microsoft", I myself am also jumping ship from M$ and going to the Android side (getting an Evo). However like I said, these changes are still inevitable and nothing you do or say is going to stop them

So why even bother getting pissed about it? Seriously, no matter how many threads you start or how hard your hit the keys while typing your rants, NOTHING is going to stop this s**t from happening.

At the end of the day you are left with TWO options. Either:

A) Suck it up and get use to the new system
B) Jump ship and go to Android

That is all there is to it. End of story. Good day.

and for the record, I looked over his post (and mine) over and over again, and I will STILL stand by what I said the first time.

I have no problem with people sharing their experience/opinion, but it's the implication that somebody else's is therefore less valid that ticked me off. Just because the change doesn't cause you any problems doesn't mean that others might not be justifiably upset because they lost functionality they used to have and enjoy. Maybe that wasn't your intent, but that's how it came across.

As for what impact these posts will or won't have:

1. It's always possible that somebody might have figured out a work-around.

2. It's also possible, though not likely, that Microsoft will actually listen to the feedback from its users, and provide an option to continue to use the old Bing - for those who prefer the original version, or those whose devices have been orphaned, and aren't even given the option to use the new Bing.

Re: Mandatory Bing update. Frustration!

The new version instantly became a winner in my book when they added free voice guided turn by turn directions. Up until then, I stuck with the old version. I'm willing to overlook the other parts that missing or not as good as the old version in exchange for that. But I do agree that it stinks that they killed off the old version, especially if the new version isn't even an option for some.

This is the funniest comment you've made in the thread so far.

The next funniest is considering a newer version of an app an "upgrade" even though it has less functionality.

Why is this funny? Seriously, because I don't want to deal with WP7 or is it funny because Microsoft refuses to do ANYTHING that its LOYAL CUSTOMERS wants?

Seriously, I want to know.

And no, I did not mean it to come off as your being pissed is not valid or anything like that. I just meant that for me (personally), I have not had an issues with the new Bing and it seems to work fine for me. I can for sure see why someone that has gotten use to using the old Bing would be upset by the changes.

Again, Sorry if what I posted had come off as being arrogant or anything like that.

Now back to the dude in the bra (who I find hard to even take seriously), Based on the fact that your signature implies that you "have an Evo", why is it funny that I want(ed) to switch to one?

and for the record, I decided not to go with the Evo, I am gonna jump to at&t (who I get a discount for due to working for them) and gonna grab up the Dell Streak.

Not the first time I have heard that (though it is the first time about the Streak, lol).

If you think about it though, its only .7" bigger then the Evo, and it will have an ungodly amount of power for development. Overall I think it will be a better choice (for me)

[yes, I said a better choice FOR ME, so lets not start all this again]
