as Wesley said, definitely flash back to stock. but you should flash back to stock to see if that fixes the problem. If it doesn't, then relock the phone and get a free warranty replacement.

Yes, you HAVE TO flash back to stock. If you send it in and it is hacked, they will tell you that you are S.O.L
Flashing a ROM is an instant void on your contract. ALWAYS make sure to flash to stock AND ALSO Relock the device (If needs be, their are PLENTY of tutorials on how to do so)

I did try the soft reset with headphones in and out, I tried plugging and unplugging the headphones about a hundred times and a few times it worked for about 5 seconds before reoccurring. I dug around in there with a paper clip like someone else suggested...I'm going to try a hard reset before I flash the stock rom just to check, but I'm pretty sure it's a hardware related issue.
