Adding Bluetooth - "Device not Found" message

I am sure this has been discussed before but can't find any resolution.

I am attempting to add my Plantronics Discovery 925 bluetooth to my new Sprint TP2 and no continually get a "device not found" message.

Any thoughts / insights?

TIA.

Are you putting both devices into pairing mode? Can you connect other Bluetooth devices?

Re: Adding Bluetooth - "Device not Found" message

I am not sure what you mean about putting both devices into pairing mode. I make sure my bluetooth is on (both the physical bluetooth and on the phone). I then ensure it's discoverable, and then attempt to "Add a Device".

But no matter what I try, it gives the same "device not found" record.

I have not personally tried pairing it with another bluetooth, but my wife successfully paired her Motorola bluetooth to her TP2 (but even that gave her problems as it took forever to actually pair).

On a side note, my bluetooth has been paired to another TP2 - but Sprint actually had to do it and I have no idea what they did.

Thanks.

Re: Adding Bluetooth - "Device not Found" message

  1. Turn on Bluetooth within your phone - Consult phone instruction booklet
  2. Put phone into pairing mode - Consult phone instruction booklet
  3. Put headset into pairing mode - With headset off, press and hold Call Control Button
until the headset begins to flash red and blue.
  4. Select "Add new device" on your phone.
  5. Select the Plantronics headset when prompted. Enter "0000" as passcode.
  6. Your 925 headset will now have a continuous blue light blinking.
  7. Choose "Yes" if your phones asks if you want to bond to the 925 headset.
  8. Your phone is now paired with the Plantronics 925 headset and ready for use.
