Anyone have Hotmail Through ActiveSync working?

I read this a while back and I keep trying it from time to time with no luck:

http://www.liveside.net/main/archive...rking-now.aspx

I know it says it does not work for everyone, but does anyone have this working?

I'm currently getting an error message when setting it up "please correct your Exchange Server credentials."
I do know how to setup my Google Exchange account, but is there possibly anything I'm missing since this is hotmail? I followed the instructions from the link above.

Thanks

Re: Anyone have Hotmail Through ActiveSync working?

I would reccomend using Windows live. This allows you the same functionality of activesync without using your activesync on hotmail. Me personally I need it for Work email, So this option works very well for me. I believe it comes installed stock on Sprint, not sure about Verizon but you can always download and install the cab. I have also noticed that all the custom roms I have used thus far have it installed as well.

Re: Anyone have Hotmail Through ActiveSync working?

It took a while, but I eventually got activesync to work with gmail as well.
Two tricks that were poorly documented:
Exchange server: m.google.com
Username ends with @gmail.com
http://www.google.com/support/mobile...36&topic=14299
Sync only what folders gmail supports (inbox/contacts/calendar) not tasks.
Disable google captcha: https://www.google.com/accounts/DisplayUnlockCaptcha

After that you have bi-directional syncing. Very nice and free.

Re: Anyone have Hotmail Through ActiveSync working?

Ok, I'm back. Windows Live was killing my battery so I read that hotmail activesync is now working for everyone. I set it up ok and it works great, much better on battery life.
My new problem is this, it kind of butchered all of my "company" contacts. The don't display properly in my contacts and they come up as "untitled" when I set them as my favorites. When I was using Google sync, I would just go in and re setup the "File as" but that is not working with Hotmail.
When I log into my Hotmail account they all seem to be entered correctly and only have a company name and not a "person" name, so I don't know why 6.5/Sense is trying to put a Company name into a personal name field and leaving out parts.

Hope I explained that correctly. Any thoughts?? Thanks

Re: Anyone have Hotmail Through ActiveSync working?

I read that activesync hotmail does not support HTML email so I have stayed with windowslive.
