Re: Kind of a stupid question but worth a try

for the first couple weeks I just used the stock SP. It may not be the best protector out there, but it did the job until I could afford a better one (the phone itself decimated my saved up cash). I also now use the Phantom SP and I find it works pretty well.

However I wish I could find a nice Screen Protector & Case combo.

I use the Phantom one's to and I am for sure sold on them, I use the BodyGlove snap on case with mine and it's great. I even drilled a hole through the the battery cover and the snap on case and can hit my reset button without taking the case off.

Yea i know but i paid 20.00 for this screen protector so i'm not really happy about throwing 20.00 out on a faulty screen protector and im pretty sure you can't return that. (well technically i couldent anyway since i lost the receipt and threw out the packaging).

Wow, I can't believe I have never thought of that, lol. Sounds like a plan to me. Gonna jump on some sites and look for the best price on the body glove. Though my brother has one on his Hero and always complains about it.

Would you mind dropping me a PM and let me know if you have any issues with yours and maybe a tech on drilling it (how you did it without cracking the case or cover and what drill bit size). Just don't want to hijack this nice mans thread.

Thanks again for the great idea.

Yea i get what your saying and thanks for all your advice about this. Personally myself I've never believed in screen protectors i thought they were worthless junk but after seeing my screen scratched like that i just wanted my phone to stay nice you know so i thought i was doing the right thing. I guess maybe i'll try to get a case or something to keep it nice. Any suggestions on a nice case. I want something magnetic and not velcro (velcro just seems like junk to me).

Re: Kind of a stupid question but worth a try

I know what you mean about the velcro, I have never had any luck with it either.

As far as cases go, I have heard good things about the OtterBox and have heard mostly good things about the BodyGlove (even though as I said, my brother hates his). I am gonna go with the BodyGlove for now, and will for sure be drilling it so I can have ready access to the Reset button (always removing the battery cover has been driving me nuts since day one).

If I stumble apon any other nice cases I will post links for you to also check them out.

Thanks for the heads up and yea i know what you mean about the case thing. What was HTC thinking when they designed the back cover without a easy access hole to the reset slot. It's such a pain in the ass especially when you get the SOD.
