How did he bypass the password?

Yes. You would have to do a hard reset to get past the password, but that would erase all user data.

BTW, if your BF did use a Sprint employee to get ANY info on your account, he is risking getting that 'friend' fired.

I don't belive that the phone reboots locked.

This would make sense if he just pressed the reset button (or the correct key combo which may be what the 'Sprint Friend' told him) and then waited for the phone to come back up.

The phone reboots locked if you use the built-in WM lock. I'd love to know the truth behind the original post...there are a lot of possibilities.
