Re: Touchscreen capability is gone

This is an issue that has happened to more people then it rightfully should. While I am sure sleeping with your phone (I know its a sexy device, but there are limits) did not help matters any, this could have happened anyway.

Like a couple people suggested, just get ahold of Sprint (NOT HTC they will try to sleep with you and bill you for their time) and they will replace it asap.

make sure however if you are running a flashed rom, you reflash to default it before you send it in. Otherwise you will run into some trouble from Sprint (apperantly you can spend $200 - $450 on a phone, but you can't do what you want with it).

Good luck buddy.

Re: Touchscreen capability is gone

I added some few cabs on there from this forum, but never did any rom flashes. I did a hard reset before turning it in. I am re satisfied with the TP2 for now.

Re: Touchscreen capability is gone

Hey Kev, had this problem this weekend and found that my issue was moisture underneath the screen.

Based on your pictures that you sent the issue looks very similar and the solution that I've found online (and it works) was that I took my fingernail and separated the plastic screen (slowly and carefully) from my device, until the moisture spot cleared.

I let it dry and my touchscreen was fully responsive again. The past week was really hot and I believe while having my TP2 at my ear sweat might have leaked under the plastic screen and created the moisture spot

Hopefully this helps.

Re: Touchscreen capability is gone

@like_butta, this solution also worked on my Imagio. The touchscreen is now as responsive as it was when I first got the phone. Thanks for the tip
