Wow, lots of complaining going on these days. We really need to get to the core problem that vexes so many "tp2 sucks" members. It really comes down to a lack of knowledge on how to properly mod your phone to the point you are pleased with the performance and look & feel. There is a learning curve associated with this including flashing/cooking custom roms, visiting tp2 themes threads, exploring different ui's etc, etc... It takes a certain person, which many of us are to do this stuff all the time. So lack of knowledge on what's available has a lot to do with it.
Personally I've had a great experience with the tp2 and consider it a stable device to use daily. However I wouldn't feel that way if I wasn't flashing custom roms or searching for new themes and cabs to mod sense, etc. I can understand if people want a better out of box experience with these devices, but frankly that's just not going to happen now, until w7 (at least I hope). But I can respect the fact that some of the members just don't want to spend the time, just realize that's your decision.

I only didnt like the lag n constant need of soft resets ... i may b back in tp2 world as the battery on evo is as bad as tp1 n havin an on screen keyboard only really sucks bad. Sorta miss the touch slow 2

My TP2 on 6.1 stock actually runs great, and I keep going back to that. The hardware is nice it just doesn't have the juice to run 6.5 and Sense 2.5 IMO and work flawlessly. The memory creeps up to 70-80% and there is always lag. Try watching a high res video in coreplayer on 6.5 with Sense 2.5 and it lags/tears, but on stock 6.1 it runs great and has plenty of memory. So I generally think we're pushing it a little much.

My issue is more with Microsoft than anything else. No developers are seriously developing apps, either focusing on iPhone or Android, or perhaps waiting for 7. Just not at the cutting edge that's all. But the TP2 is a great piece of hardware nonetheless for what it is. In some ways it won't be beat by the new stuff coming out - like the speaker is awesome!

Plain and simple, I pay $81/mo for 2 phones with NY tax (outrageous) and insurance for both phones with the sero plan ( 500min 7pm, 3 number unl, unl inet & text and unlimited calling with google voice). if i am to get evo i would have to spend more than $81 for 1 phone (then again no 4g here). TP2 can do almost anything the evo can (slower) plus it can do GSM too. Until sprint releases a sero compatible WM phone I'll be happy with my TP2.
