Interesting that you would point out that site. I have a 2001 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP. It's got decent mod potential but in stock form, the car sucks. When compared to something like a Nissan Maxima, it's not even a competition. The Maxima just has so much better build quality, technology, and fit and finish. The TP2 is a Grand Prix.

It really is no wonder that Windows Mobile 6.5 is going the way of Pontiac.

I was at the mall today and stopped by the Apple store. The place was packed full of people testing out an entire table of iphone4 demo units.

Walked 100yds down to the Microsoft store and not a single person was interested in the single Windows Mobile (Tmobile HD2) demo unit that was on display.

You might ask, "why are you here if you hate the TP2/WinMo so much?".. It's because Im constantly looking for cabs and fixes for things like MMS messages not downloading, SOD, or the phone freezing up when exiting from text messages.

Well if you were gonna compare TP2's to any car I'd say we'd definitely have to be Toyotas... Some of us are runnin strong, fast, and reliable... Other's are stuck with a recall and don't have such a sweet story... I just love how I never have any real issues with my phone like the glass cracking, internal battery destroying my phone, losing service because of how I hold my phone in my hand (lmao), or having to sign onto a website labeled http://www.ihatemyiphone.com/ on a daily basis just to list my problems...

My problem is that I'm starting to realize that it's ridiculous to have "normal lag". That's the most annoying thing ever. The problem with the TP2 and most other WinMo Phones is that the hardware is too slow. It's true that a lot of people are saying the TP2 sucks because newer phones are coming out, but honestly I don't blame them. I much prefer WinMo over the Android, but I'd take the Evo in the heartbeat (a +$10/mo heartbeat lol) just because it's faster and I wouldn't have to worry about it lagging every time I wanted to check and send texts. Wish I could get a HD2, but T-Mobile is not an option for me at all.

Man, I gotta say that I'm surprised to see so much hate on such a great phone. I just came to it from an LG Incite that I've been struggling with for a year and a half. I say struggling not because it didn't perform well, but because the small screen was too much for my 51 year old eyes. I bought my Tilt 2 brand new from a private party (off Craig's List) because I didn't want to extend my AT$T contract or lose my $15 unlimited data plan. I've been using a WinMo device since version 3 that came on my Viewsonic V37 PDA and I'm comfortable with it. The Tilt 2 is everything I wanted and I went looking before I decided on it. Droid Incredible...nice, but not worth switching to Verizon for. HD2...awesome, but only available on T-Mobile here. Not happening. And how do you carry that monster around?

I use my phone to track my mountain bike rides while I listen to music on my S9s. The Tilt 2 is just the right size. Not too bulky, but not so small that I have to wait until I get home to my reading glasses to use it. I had to do a hard reset last week, but that was my fault for going overboard trying different cabs. That temptation is high given the number of them that are out there. Developer support waning? Marketplace, CabXpress, and OpenMarket would all beg to differ.

I'm very happy with my Tilt 2, but I have to wonder if the experience is different because it is a GSM model on AT$T. Seems like the real whining comes from the Sprint users, mostly. Perish the thought, but maybe AT$T got it right with this phone. It would be a first. Now, if only I didn't have to compete for bandwidth on their network with all those iPhone tards.

I don't know how anyone can hate on the TP2. Its an amazing phone hands down. I have actually missed it some since I moved to the Evo which is why I still play around with it every now and then.
The only drawback to the TP2 is the laggy OS, however thanks to the awesome chefs on this site it has been improved greatly. Shame Windows Mobile is dying, I will miss its level of customization.

i don't think people hate the tp2, they just hate winmo for being outdated - super slow and lacking in quality developer support

i wish they could've released the tp2 with a 1ghz processor. might've kept me on strictly winmo until wp7 came around....

same here, in terms of winmo (on the CDMA side) I think we have a very limited choice of winmo phones we could chose from
