LOL No, I'm in the SF Bay Area. Oddly enough though, the person who had my phone number before me spoke Spanish and was a deadbeat (judging by the number of Spanish-only collections calls I get from creditors looking for her). But I suspect that's coincidence. This just happens to me from time to time, and saving the settings never works for me. I think I have the same symptoms as sonysw even when I try to save the language to English...can't say for sure because I'm currently getting results in English, LOL.

thats great, but it doesnt correct the original issue of google incorrectly identifying your location when mobile.

Try this:
Go here:
%s - Google

Change the settings to English and Save Settings.

Then go to your address bar and type in "www.google.com" without the quotes.

Then after it loads go to your browser's settings and set your default home page to the current page then exit settings and then exit and close your browser. Then restart your browser and check it.
