As for the Home icon, I may be able to help you with that one. I'm pretty good at tracking down links, paths and such. Be back on in an hour or so. Really appreciate your efforts. =D> Regards, QA |

Re: Unlock
Well, you did something. After installing, I noticed the backlight would dim but never turned off. Gee whiz!
A soft reset was the only option I had at the moment. It seemed to restore normal function. The Qanda message comes up more frequently, but not every time I unlock. If I continue to unlock, the message stops appearing AND the backlight goes out immediately. It never dims first (30 second set), and does not wait the (1) minute to which I have it set to power down. Could the script disrupte the normal device timeouts for the screen including backlight? IMPORTANT QUESTION: Does your diagnostic script permanently change any registry settings? In case things go wrong, will uninstalling the script put things back to where they were? The device is starting to become unstable, so I need a way to restore it to normal operation quickly. We can always analyze what happened later, but the phone is my only source of contact with clients on the road. Regards, QA PS: I tried to help with the Home icon but your right. It shows nowwhere. Could it be hard coded? Would it be possible to find the Home icon used in the slider? Oh well. Back to the drawing board. Last edited by qanda; 11-06-2011 at 08:43 PM. |
