I use Conduit's Pocket Player for music and Podcast streaming, it supports full album art also! You can grab a Dual XHD6425 Bluetooth/HD Radio/Mp3/ USB car stereo for around $78 here http://www.buy.com/prod/dual-xhd6425...206710233.html Plus about $40 for the BTM60 bluetooth adapter. I've used one for about 3 years and it is awesome! |

Re: Tp2 Like an IPOD? for car stereo?
I've used several different blutooth adapters and at least 3 different rental and borrowed vehicles with BT audio. I was never satisfied with the freqency output, BT always chops the highs and the lows. I am sold on the 3.5 mm out on the TP2, with audio booster gives a sweet sound, especially with a good car stereo. You can get the USB to work if you tell the TP2 to connect as a USB card and the car stereo can read off the SD card, but the processor doing other things, causes playback to be choppy. TP2 processor can't handle it. I use both WMP or HTC music tab. Like 'em both. WMP does have larger album art, but I like the gestures for the HTC music tab better. My mount is on the vent so that I don't get overheated with the GPS and music running at the same time since you got to plug it in for that. Car charger and 3.5mm plug fit really nice together.

I have a pioneer DEH-P7000BT. It's a few yr old but got just about every options of connectivity (2 aux, usb, bt. No wifi but I am sure pioneer working on that ). The music quality is better over BT compared to aux as the volume is streamed at a higher level to the unit so you don't have to crank up the volume in either the phone or the stereo and introduces more distortion. I also got one of those 1 gb thumb drive (which i got for free at trade show) and just leave it connected to the pioneer in my car... Letting the pioneer does the decoding of mp3 actually give best quality |

Re: Tp2 Like an IPOD? for car stereo?
Yupp, TP2 all day long for all my audio, through head phone jack. I use Slacker Radio & have some MP3s on the SD too... I have an iPod Touch thats been broke for 6 months, don't miss it really... Simply because of streaming music, and Slacker. Every time I used my iPod I used the WiFi router on the TP2 to stream music on the iPod anyway, which I used head phone jack with too . It's just easier...

I use an Alpine EX10 Bluetooth receiver. BEST $10 I ever spent. It can transmit through FM frequency, or through Line in. Also, you can play your Ipod (this is what I use it for), or connect your Phone through BT. The best thing is that it comes with a Mic so you can listen your streaming music on the EX10, but also make and answer calls. Take a look at, its worth every dime.

I use the Auxiliary input on my 7 year old Alpine deck, it works great!
I even use it as a hands free speaker phone while connected to the stereo as well, that too works well (as long as the windows are up). Last edited by ShelbyTurbo; 06-03-2010 at 06:04 PM. |

Re: Tp2 Like an IPOD? for car stereo?
I use coreplayer for all my video/music needs. I've noticed it runs a lot lighter than WMP and the Sense Music Tab, plus it gives me youtube capability (which i've removed in my custom ROM). Honestly I am never going back to sense, waaaaayyyy too many problems.
I use my standard 3.5 (unfortunately I have the worst cable ever so sound isn't the greatest).
