What is Manila Sense 2.5 & How do I know if I have it?

This may be a dumb question to you all but I really dont know the answer to this. All I can tell you is that I have a Tmoble touch pro 2 STOCK EVERYTHING, running windows 6.5. Can someone tell me what Manila sense 2.5 is and if I already have it on my phone? If not how can I get it? I wanna install cookie's home tab and one of the requirements is sense 2.5. Please help the newbie.

If you have boxes on the bottom of the home tab (where you can place shortcuts), then you have sense 2.5. Also, you have manila 2.5 if your weather tab has fullscreen animations.

Also, to find out for sure, you can go to the settings tab and go all the way down and tab the about phone info. In that menu, go to software information. Then, under "Manila Version," the first two numbers should be 2.5.

ok I see i clearly dont have sense 2.5. Can you tell me how to get it?

When i went over to settings and scroll all the way down there is no "about phone" there is just "about" and it takes me to a website when i click it.

You can flash an updated/custom ROM to get it. I don't know if TMO has an updated shipped ROM for tp2, but I'm sure you will find many custom ROMs with sense 2.5 at XDA. Since you're GSM according to your carrier selection, make sure you don't flash any of the ROMs here at this site under the CDMA Custom ROM forum. It will not boot and may brick your device if the CDMA rom contains a radio. Read the stickies in the forum below to learn how to flash custom ROMs:

When i clicked the link it just took to a search of alot of different post. was there an specific thread or post i should look at?

The link opens the "Touch Pro2, Tilt 2 Windows Mobile ROM Development" forum at XDA for me...not a search. I'd start with the "[Resources] Flashing your First GSM Rhodium Rom (For Noobs)" thread first if it were me, though I don't have your device or a GSM carrier...so I haven't done any of that personally. You'll need to unlock your phone before you can flash a custom ROM.

For starters, check out the stickies on that forum page. They'll tell you more about custom roms and how to unlock your phone (you have to unlock it before you can use custom roms). The stickies can give you some more details on that process.

After you've unlocked your phone, then you can search through any one of the other threads. Each one of those threads contain roms that you can flash to your phone. I can't really tell you which one is the best, because that all depends on what you are looking for (speed, stability, newest software, etc.).

do you get the screen of death daily???
if yes, then you have 2.5, if no, then probably 2.1
