I'll second exactly what Kliptik has said. When we are talking about performance loss all we are talking about is the extra second it takes to switch between programs. The slight lag you notice when you start scrolling on the Manila Tabs.

It definitely isn't phone breaking, hence why it has become so popular. It just slightly slows down big tasks (If I open Opera and a music player, it will take an extra second to scroll to the music tab, an extra second to shut it down and an extra second to get back into opera. Not phone breaking, just slightly more sluggish).

He's got most of the info you'll need on the first page of his thread. Make sure to read up on the HSPL unlocker, as you have to unlock your phone before you can flash a ROM.
