Re: Office Mobile 2010
i still havent look at it.. went looking for the cab as i saw the release but found no download link anywhere on MS i thought..
i have win 7 OS on my lappy.. with no outlook as well... i only use outlook to have a hard copy stored of all my contacts in case something ridculous happens to my storage card and handset... dunno bout live documents either... until im forced into cloud computing, ill never do it.... MS has a thing in WMP that says they review your playing/viewing habits already... itd be unsafe to assume any company that offers cloud computing storage, doesnt also have a program running though everything stored on it and reading it for important or damaging info..this is why i dont use MS MyPhone... dont need another excuse to have MS go through all my stuff.. think Patriot Act... like the government doesnt wanna know what everyone has on anything thats uploaded to a cloud service

Re: Office Mobile 2010 (WATCH OUT NO CUT AND PASTE)
The trick to downloading is to use the online (onphone) "Marketplace". Then search for "Office 2010". It can only download to the phone.
This will not be useful to you unless you are like me stuck in the military/industrial/government complex. I have a secure Sharepoint account that I am going to try to login to using their software. What they (MS) have done is make a consumer version of Sharepoint available in Office 2010. The advantage of this is it opens up tons of additional storage that you can share between the PC and Phone. I JUST NOTICED, THAT AS FEARED, THERE IS NO CUT AND PASTE. I AM AMAZED THEY CAN BE SO PROFOUNDLY STUPID AT MICROSOFT. WHAT IS THE POINT OF HAVING IT COMPATIBLE WITH WORD AND NOT BE ABLE TO EDIT DOCUMENTS!?! Last edited by jerryyyyy; 05-16-2010 at 02:00 AM. |

Re: Office Mobile 2010 (WATCH OUT NO CUT AND PASTE)
Mike has Office Mobile 2010 (version 14.0000.23563) in his MightyROM and I can copy/paste using both keyboard commants (CTRL+C, CTRL+V) and using context menus (tap and hold)
What is the version number from the market? (you can go to menu>about to see it) |

Re: Office Mobile 2010 (WATCH OUT NO CUT AND PASTE)
I have it installed on my Sprint TP2 running the stock 6.1 ROM. It does do copy/paste. Go to Menu - Edit - Make Selection - drag what you want to copy, then tap/hold the cursor and up comes another menu to copy/cut, et cetera. To paste, tap and hold where to paste. The method has not changed.

Is there really any upside if you are already running it in a precooked ROM? I am running MightyROM Full Force and its already cooked in.

I discovered that if I make a "new" document. I have cut and paste in that document. But that in "old" .doc files I have cut and past greyed out. I tried a new save as and I did not get the cut and paste in the newly saved document. I do not see a Ctrl on the keyboard anywhere? What are you using. Whatever is going on with this version, it is not good. |

I am not using a precook ROM, the stock Sprint ROM is what I am using. I suspect they cooked in an earlier version that retained normal functions.
