idk what i will do ... im due for a full upgrade & the money isnt an issue as far as the phone itself or the extra 10 a month. the lack of a physical keyboard sux big time .. what phone is next for sprint besides evo ? anything with a kb ? i never understood why phone designers dont take into consideration what the masses prefer ina phone & make a phone that way. i wanna huge screen, trackball, full keyboard like tp2 & something that is fast like droid with free apps 2 =)
there are 2 more (at least) 4g phones coming out this year, one from htc, one from samsung. specs haven't been released yet and they haven't hit the fcc (which usually gives away the hardware keyboard).

I think Microsoft oversimplified the mobile platform with WP7, even more so than Apple has. I don't like the UI either. I've also spent a lot of time developing apps for WM and its "standard" Windows API. I guess when I heard that WP7 would not be backwards compatible for my apps, I kinda lost interest. I love the Android platform, and it's growing fast. I don't think WP7 will get as much of a following as Android will have, so I want to develop for a more popular platform.

If I'm going to recode everything, I might as well do it for an OS people use this time.

I also like copy & paste and multitasking.

To follow up on that, they oversimplified the platform but the UI is confusing as hell...your literally navigating blind...It feels like they are trying to copy Apple but don't want people to say they are so they made a unique UI..so hard did they try that they overdid it..I mean really overdid it...

Sign up at Any participating Best Buy. $50 "fee" for pre-sale. They give it back to you in a gift card, which you can also use at the time of purchase. They instantly give you all the credits so the phone will run $200.00

I can agree with most of this, but one of the biggest complaints of winmo is how outdated it is. so they completely revamp for wp7 and everyone is complaining about backwards compatibility.
i'm not sold on it yet, just curious to see where it goes. gonna stick with the tp2 at least another year and then see what is out there.

Well, I'm complaining about the lack of backwards compatibility because I'm a developer.

i know, but at some point, the technology makes it a mute point. look at the play station and nintendo series.
let's see if in 10 years, android apps now still work....
