Re: Using the Phone as the primary internet source

Also in New York I get 1mbps-2.4mbps when I got EVDO. But I gave you the estimate based on the numbers here: http://www.boygeniusreport.com/2009/...sults-wrap-up/ If I use the numbers I get, at home I get 2.4mbps so it wouldn't be fair..but on average ppl reported: Sprint: 1361kbs so multiply that by 3 and you get 4083 which is around 4mbps lol Unless of course sprint changed their minds. Edit: Lets use the numbers sprint gave for comparison: Sprint customers with the HTC EVO 4G can expect: 4G data speeds (WiMAX) – peak download speeds of more than 10 Mbps; peak upload speeds of 1 Mbps; average download speeds of 3-6 Mbps. 3G data speeds (EVDO Rev A.) – peak download speeds of up to 3.1 Mbps; peak upload speeds of 1.8 Mbps; average download speeds of 600 kbps-1.4 Mbps. so peak for wimax is 10mbps and Rev A is 3.1mbps so pretty much around 3X

My current speed is less..but that is because I flashed the usc radio so that it would not reset all the time and better battery life...otherwise I had consistent 2.4mbps |

not arguing its not possible.. saying its rare to hit those speeds, people shouldnt expect to hit those speeds, and the odds of those speeds being consistent is rare.. |
