The Turn by Turn is the deal winner for me. That's why I don't like Google. I want the turn by turn and Google doesn't offer that.

I tried both voice & type.

I don't care about turn by turn, I use GarminXT for that.

they need to bring gas prices back gas is 3.38 in chicago for regular i could use that feature lol

the gps location is kinda slow on here compared to google maps tho but still good to have a free turn by turn voice navigation

Just a FYI, its also available from the Marketplace. Its working great for me and i love the new bing. the only reason i hated using it was that there was no voice, now that they've added that, im all over it. now i off to tinker around in the registry to see if i can link bing to the navigation tab in sense

FYI part 2, the Marketplace version says 6.2 and that it was released today.

John, I'm on mighty final and it will not speak directions to me. I have checked the settings and I have checked and unchecked and rechecked for voice guidance under options. Also Bing is very laggy when following your location, but Gmaps is not. Which version did you download.

I see that too, but I tried downloading that one and I still have 5.1.2010.5040.

The GPS turn-by-turn works pretty well, a good backup for my iGuidance. My only real gripe is being unable to point the map so that it's oriented the same way as my perspective, rather than always pointing North.

So here is what I did. I uninstalled Bing by starting a new install then following the prompts, then before it installs again I canceled the install. Then Deleted all bing folders that I could find, then soft reset, then installed the one from the market place. By doing that it now gives me the option to "navigate" instead of "VZcapagater". I don't know if it will give the same results for everybody, but it worked for me on mightyrom final 2.1 6.5.

This has always be my main issue with the free maps apps. (Gmaps, bing, etc.)
If it wasn't for that they would be great. IMVHO.
