GSM can only do voice and data at the same time. I dont know if 4G can do that but it is only in a handfull of cities right now. Who talks and surfs the web at the same time anyway? Isnt that kind of rude?

2 people are out and about and want to catch a movie. You put the phone on speaker and open your movie app and use data to find a movie. Not rude at all. Actually helpfull.

or talking on the phone to your boss who just emailed you some plans as an pdf. you need to download the attachment and check it out without having to say, " i need you to let you go so i can check in to that."

Talking Re: Will you move from a TP2 to an EVO even if you have to Pay for Premium Plan?

I'm getting this phone even if I have to get another job just to be able to afford it and its plan.
Knowing Sprint for more than 10 years, I'm almost certain that they will make you change your plan, just like they did when TP2 came out.
Wireless package used to be $15, but they said that the TP2 'required' a $30.

I just hope they don't go overboard with whatever they come up with.

I read that you would have to have a special plan for the EVO, if this is true i dont' think i'm getting the EVO no matter how badly i want it. I currently have a 129.99 (unlimited everything family plan)

I'm on the border line and i have to quickly make up my mind since we'll be able to pre-order it later this month, Would you pay extra a month for an EVO?
can you post the article? just talked to sprint middle of last week and was told the plans aren't gonna be different. just that the evo will require an everything plan (just like all the android phones).

I'm far too comfortable with my current plan, so unlikely. It's getting tougher by the day trying to stick it out tho.

Lots of reasons... personally the using GPS apps like Google maps!!! i had people call when when i'm looking for their address using Google maps and have to ask them to call back later! lol..

I'm a 1250 Sero plan, this is my 3 or 4 year .. with insurance and taxes is about $60 a month- as long as my plan doesnt got over more than 20%-25% of that Count me in to jump ship!! I will be ok with it!

I doubt Sprint will charge more than $90 a month plan for this phone, with all the bells and whistles .. it wouldn't be competitive with other carriers ( well besides Verizon where they rape you with charges)

That one's kinda shady. They tried to tell me that too when I called them about activating my Touch Pro2. So I went online and activated it with no problems. Still have the $15 data add-on!

However, I doubt I could activate an Android phone that way, but need to try sometime just to make sure.

Re: Will you move from a TP2 to an EVO even if you have to Pay for Premium Plan?

I'm happy with 3G and my legacy plan with $15 data. Even though we'll have it in the Triangle, 4G is not worth a few hundred dollars more per year to me.
