Re: Pandora Radio

I like Slacker when it plays, but it just takes a notion to quit part way on some songs, or not even go to the next song even when on WIFi, too buggy IMO. Pandora works but the "Are you still there?" is kinda PIA tho.

Re: Pandora Radio

Slacker is getting allot less buggy but it repeats artists and tracks way to often for me. Slacker is however a much higher quality bit rate which is great. Pandora does sound just fine through my bt headset though, not so much wired in through the aux input in my truck. I am not ruling anything out but after 4 or so hours I like to switch it up (I listen 8 to 9 hours at work everyday). It is nice to have both.

Slacker banning artists and saving favorites on the mobile app is great now too.

Re: Pandora Radio

Ha, you guys are the best !! It worked. I think the phone was having a problem connecting to the internet.
Hey, no insults here, lol. I work with computers so I see all kinds of crazy stuff users do. I wouldn't put it past anyone to "no hit play" !! HA !!
Thanks again for all the help guys.

Re: Pandora Radio

Thanks for the update bro... Glad it's working for you now.
I really enjoy this on my phone but I do go back to Pandora at home. Just more sophisticated in my opinion.

You know... You can create your own stations if you access your slacker account through your desktop. Really nice feature. I just think Pandora groups songs by their "likeness" better (songs that sound alike). For example I have 3 Spanish rock stations with 3 different distinct sounds and pandora groups them better. Slacker seems to have a broader brush.

listening to both, I actually prefer pandora. slacker seems to give me the songs at different volumes, one is too soft, the next is blaring. I will say that it gets to the next song faster and has a prettier interface, but I'm sticking with pandora.
I get a very distinct background noise when running pandora on my phone. I get clean almost CD quality from my Slacker account.
Maybe you can share the cab you've installed on your phone so we may also have great sound.
Also I do like the interface on Slacker for my car as it's more finger frienly and I don't have to use the stilus to skip songs or switch stations.

Yeah, I re-read what I said...I meant that I *do* have a couple of custom stations that I fine-tuned on the PC, but I've found that I'm happy with Slacker not even using those and sticking to the pre-packed stations...
