You know... You can create your own stations if you access your slacker account through your desktop. Really nice feature. I just think Pandora groups songs by their "likeness" better (songs that sound alike). For example I have 3 Spanish rock stations with 3 different distinct sounds and pandora groups them better. Slacker seems to have a broader brush.

listening to both, I actually prefer pandora. slacker seems to give me the songs at different volumes, one is too soft, the next is blaring. I will say that it gets to the next song faster and has a prettier interface, but I'm sticking with pandora.

I get a very distinct background noise when running pandora on my phone. I get clean almost CD quality from my Slacker account.
Maybe you can share the cab you've installed on your phone so we may also have great sound.
Also I do like the interface on Slacker for my car as it's more finger frienly and I don't have to use the stilus to skip songs or switch stations.
