Re: Lost 2 files on Sprint 6.5, now activesync is broken
hard reset and start over, or backup before tinkering next time.

big +1 to both. gota ask why you would delete those first off and why you thought active sync would still work?

Backup Backup Backup, anything to do with computer technology is #1 backup before changing anything.

Here are the .lnk files from my Sprint TP2, stock 6.5 ROM.
I copied them from my Startup folder to Storage Card with SKTools, then transferred them to my desktop and put them into a zip file. Hope this works for you. |

Those wondering why I did this in the first place? Well, I didn't use activesync at all, and figured, why use system resources to keep it running if I never use it? same with Voice Command. I assumed that I would still be able to start activesync some other way, but I can't figure out how. I decided to use "clear storage", which restored everything to stock 6.5, but it never restored those 2 ink files for some odd reason. |

Re: Lost 2 files on Sprint 6.5, now activesync is broken
In my Windows/StartUp folder, I have the following .lnk files (not .ink)
asksw.lnk BTTrayCE.lnk HTCStartUp.lnk PKG.lnk poutlook.lnk Voice Command.lnk None of them have the green circle Activesync icon. However, under Windows/Start Menu/Programs/Tools, I have Activesync.lnk which is the "clickable" icon on the Start Menu. Would you like that? Also - have you tried doing a hardware hard reset, via the button presses? I wonder if that would restore your files completely vs. Clear Storage. |
