In my Windows/StartUp folder, I have the following .lnk files (not .ink)

asksw.lnk
BTTrayCE.lnk
HTCStartUp.lnk
PKG.lnk
poutlook.lnk
Voice Command.lnk

None of them have the green circle Activesync icon. However, under Windows/Start Menu/Programs/Tools, I have Activesync.lnk which is the "clickable" icon on the Start Menu. Would you like that?

Also - have you tried doing a hardware hard reset, via the button presses? I wonder if that would restore your files completely vs. Clear Storage.
