sprint or asurion replace tp2 with new evo? possible or wishful thinking?

i was wondering what you guys think about this. is it even a possibility? i love my touch pro 2 but i am gonna get me the new htc hvo when it comes out. i never had a problem with my tp2 but i heard some people have. lucky i havent. although i had millions of problems with my tp1. will it ever happen? or highly unlikely? i think theres a chance a few people might get it this way if they are out of stock and what not. lets hear your thoughts

Even if they did replace it with another device, it would be a comparable model,
not a newer device without a hardware keyboard and running a totally different OS.

Sprint probably will....for warranty replacement. You have a year on your phone for "defects". I learned to never go through asurion unless you lose your phone.

Gotta give it some time though. Remember how we had to wait a few months for the TP2 to get onto the list? The hero and the moment are on that list too. As long as you have their top tier phone you will have you choice in anything, just give it time.

i doubt they would do the Evo, it would probably be a Hero first.

lol sprint only started doing the upgrade to the TP2 from the TP1 because they were sick of replacing keyboards. we used to go through at our store about 20-25 TP keyboards a day. now we just exchange everyone that comes across our table. spreading the TP2 love!

I think we all get the point that you think this thread should be closed. But obviously the MODS think other wise. There is nothing wrong with this thread. everyone is being an adult and having adult convo about a topic that us sprint users are thinking about. This phone is now the best phone out there for andriod and maybe best phone overall. There are going to be alot more threads w/ people talking about getting the evo as june 4th comes. are you going to pop up in all those threads to and tell the mods that they should close them also?maybe you are just trying to improve your post count?
I think it was a logical question. But I dont think that they will. As several people mentioned the TP2 had not had near as many problems as the TP. So i doubt that they would, but if someone is able to pull it off, more power to them. I love my TP2 and am waiting to see the new WM7 phones before i decide what my new phone will be. But I definately am starting to warm up to the Android OS.

im sure the EVO will be 300 or 350.. who knows though, this is a Flagship Device for sprint.. TP2 was not.. Flagship devices tend to be cheaper in price(Instinct, Hero, Pre).. sprint does need to realize almost all carrier now have comparable plans, so sprints not necc saving us all kinda of money anymore on rate plans.. sprint needs to start competing in the phone pricing area or theyll start to lose customers over that now too...

Im someone who openly admits his scammin tendencies.. i got the mogul for free, 1TP for free and my other 2 for $50each, and My original TP2 i paid 199 for on release day, but ive had about 6 others of those ive sold on CL.. just saying, if i dont have to pay i wont.. but i have every intention of just buying an EVO, no scam this time.. as being like some of you, a Captain of Scam, i dont see sprint giving EVOs away for a long time, if at all...

**i also dont think the TP2 is the bargining chip that the TP1 was... TP1 had a HUGE fail rate and HTC,Sprint, and Asurion all knew it... TP2, much better device all around, so they may be less inclined to trade Us out of them... prertty sure the WEL list and mulitple exchange exception list didnt exist or was rarely used before the TP1
