People are posting things like this because there hasn't been any good/exciting conversations going on lately. It's been a while since I've seen any new and exciting apps also. but...getting a EVO is truly wishful thinking.

Not going to be likely since the TP2 doesnt have the issues like the TP1.
Also the Evo is not a WinMo, and is a 4G phone.

winmo doesn't matter... they were offering palm's as replacements for tp1 too. 4g on the other hand yeah, i could see that as not being an even swap. Not to mention the 1ghz processor and other hardwware improvements.

but who knows what will happen... the EVO will be outclassed at some point by something even better so you never know it very well may end up as a replacement candidate. Best way to tell is to take a look at the product lineup and see where everything is in their lifecycles.

haha, very true. 1ghz snapdragons have been around for like 4 months now....Dual Core 1.5 GHz Scorpions are the next big thing LOL. And after that will probably be 8 Core intel based chips clocked at 3ghz. This will never end!!!

the evo will be cheaper since there is no license fee. plus with as many as they plan on releasing, it will be pretty easy to come by one.. just wait for somebody who doesnt like it to put it up on ebay. the tp2 doesnt have nearly the amount of issues the tp did. there are tons of replacement tp2s...so it will be a long time before they start replacing.

I was offered Samsung Moment as a replacement for TP1. It's tier 4 phone, together with TP2/TP1/bunch of blackberries. Store manager was actually very nice, but did not realize I was on SERO - no android love for me. So you may get lucky with replacement, not at introduction though...
