why have you not switch to andriod? curious...
I'm still on TP2... but only because my plan doesn't support android phones.
|
Re: why have you not switch to andriod? curious...
Sero FTW!:thumbleft: That and a good slide out keyboard
I would have gone to the hero when it first came out. |
Re: why have you not switch to andriod? curious...
I would if I could. I'm also on SERO lol
|
Re: why have you not switch to andriod? curious...
Sero!
|
Re: why have you not switch to andriod? curious...
waiting for a 1GHz device to drop on Sprint...hey...whaddayaknow...here comes the EVO 4G. I might bite on the Nexus One...but I'm leaning toward the EVO
|
Re: why have you not switch to andriod? curious...
On Contract.
|
Re: why have you not switch to andriod? curious...
Change pretty much for the most part, I have been running WM since the days of HP's Jornada 548.
|
Re: why have you not switch to andriod? curious...
SERO and Keyboard. Can't live w/o my NES emulator with real keys... Love it. Smartgear rocks..
|
Re: why have you not switch to andriod? curious...
It was between the Droid, Droid Eris or TP2. The Droid's build quality was crappy (imo). The Eris was nice but the TP2's keyboard was too much to pass up. I would take an awesome keyboard over Android any day.

Re: why have you not switch to andriod? curious...
$30/month SERO, 3.6" screen and keyboard = win.
|
Re: why have you not switch to andriod? curious...
because i love my tp2...flaws and all!!!!!!

I messed with my friends [phone which shall not be named in this forum] you know the one made by that fruity company? and it is majorly quick, especially swapping screens. Weight of the phone? who cares...i'm a guy! I love everything else about the phone especially compared to all the other crap offered by sprint. |
Re: why have you not switch to andriod? curious...
because Android doesnt really do anything my WinMo device cant already do... not anything that i do with them anyways...
its just a different UI that i dont even really like as far as im concerned...and differnt apps.. so what.. from the looks of things so far, i have no interest at all in "Windows i dont know what to call my new line anymore 7 phone".. i have 4 lines, so im getting an EVO too.. but im getting it for the speed, not for Android.. as far as im concerned Android is the drawback to me getting an EVO.. |
Re: why have you not switch to andriod? curious...
why havent i switched to android?
No device out there except the EVo(for specs) has attracted me,my tp2 does everything i need it to.Doesn't matter what platform it is.The TP2 succeeds in my book.I don't see the big + in android i really don't if ya ask me wm the way it is now is just fine... |
Re: why have you not switch to andriod? curious...
ok speakin for someone who has tried the 2 android fones on sprint and kept coming back to the tp2
I didn't like the moment keyboard and the battery life was horrible, but that was fixed with the sprint update...the cam was nice, I must admit, but I think that was the lack of flash on the tp2 talkin. the fact that the moment had no light or anything to notify that you had a txt or vm , you just either had to catch the sound when it happened, which was low, or constantly check it to see, plus alot of my friends couldn't hear me as good either. and some apps that worked on the Hero didn't work on the moment... Now for the Hero, I liked this alot better than the moment, but once again I missed my TP2, I hate typing on a small screen and actually the fone was a lil too small and girly for me LOL, no but honestly it was small, I constantly had to keep checkin if I still had it in my pocket... I like the UI and Apps, the cam was better, but the main thing is I really couldn't get pass was the onscreen type and the battery life wasn't the best, but the no lag I loved...it may just be me but after awhile on my 6.5 rom on my tp2, updating twitter slows the whole system down... SO the evo is for me, I'm gonna love it! It's worth talkin my mom into changin her plan so I can get an early upgrade LOL. I already used my brothers to get the Hero. But I also see wm as a failing OS, the fact that even Apple realized the joy of multitasking to put it in OS 4 and Windows decides to take it out??? That was a key feature of windows.... I'm just soo ready to go to android and stay there for a few years! |
Re: why have you not switch to andriod? curious...
Sero...
Although the EVO will likely change that. |
Wirelessly posted (HTC Touch Pro 2 (Sprint): Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows CE; IEMobile 8.12; MSIEMobile6.0) Sprint T7380)
will the evo have a physical keyboard? |
Re: why have you not switch to andriod? curious...
Becuase of the lack of enterprise support

Re: why have you not switch to andriod? curious...
Only reason is cause stupid sprint won't allow android on SERO. So Im stuck with WinMo. Plus my SERO has call any 3 numbers and 10% discount attached to it so I only pay $27 plus tax to get unlmtd text and web. Although I might give it all up for the EVO. I guess I'll wait and see how it does. So far Windows Phone 7 doesn't look too good.

I got offered pick 1 (aka "phone home" for free) but the plan is $69.99, not $27 |
Re: why have you not switch to andriod? curious...
Why switch when I can run both?
|
Re: why have you not switch to andriod? curious...
The phones are ugly so far. Evo isnt out yet so I didnt count it.
|
Re: why have you not switch to andriod? curious...
because the touch hd2 is sexy as heck!
its an orgasm in my eyes and the speed my god its fast...everything just works...and custom roms make it better! |
Re: why have you not switch to andriod? curious...
Do the Android phones sync seamlessly to MS Outlook now? This was a big problem when I purchased my TP2. I just want to plug the phone into the cradle and have it sync my contacts - not move things from Outlook to Gmail or whatever...that's just lame. Unless there is a direct sync interface, I can't see how I'll ever get to Android.
Also, I heard that you could not make voice command calls from a bluetooth headset on Android. Has this been resolved? These two issues were show-stoppers for me. My wife has an Eris and is pretty happy with it, but I would have gone crazy if the TP2 weren't available. And yes, the keyboard makes all the difference in the world. If Android was running on the TP2 with a Snapdragon processor and without the above problems, yes, I would jump to Android. |

Well, when they drop a 4G phone with a physical keyboard I'll switch if it runs MSDOS haha.
|
Re: why have you not switch to andriod? curious...
because I have really awesome plan and best perks and its not "compatible" with android or webos so tp2 wins
|
Re: why have you not switch to andriod? curious...
a couple of reasons. the main one being androids lack of a descent video player @nd also windows mobile rules. imean what can u do to android. its an iphone clone. what you see is what you get. sure you can download 3000 apps but at the end of the day your interface will still look the same. with windows mobile you have funcionality plus customization. ill take that anyday of the week

Re: why have you not switch to andriod? curious...
i am waiting for either sprint or verizon to drop a droid with a 5" screen kinda like the dell mini 5
|
Re: why have you not switch to andriod? curious...
No support for SlingMobile (which I use daily) :-(

Re: why have you not switch to andriod? curious...
i actually wanted to try android out, but for $50/month more...i don't think so!!
|
Re: why have you not switch to andriod? curious...
I'm waiting for the EVO.
|
Re: why have you not switch to andriod? curious...
I'm switched as soon as the EVO comes out. I have no problem giving up my SERO plan for it. The TP2 is too big, heavy and slow. If I didn't have a SERO I certainly wouldn't have the TP2.
