BTW, I don't have to re-lock my phone to install the stock ROM, do I?

Nope, I never had to relock and it doesnt automatically relock. I reinstalls the factory ROM with the new radio and PRL. Only the latter 2 things will stay (which is a good thing) when you flash to a desired ROM. Good luck

no you should be able to install it regardless. You only need to re-lock your phone if you are taking it back into sprint.

Re: Is my TP2 dying? Same errors across different ROMs.

I had a lot of problems with my tp2 until I re-flashed to stock, hard-reset, then flashed back to Mr.X. Apparently problems arise when you've flashed too many times without flashing back to stock at least once in a while.
