is there a way to tether my ipad to my tp2?

I have tethered my iPod Touch to my Sprint Touch Pro 2 in the past to surf on the iPod's Safari. But I like Opera on the TP2, so I have not tethered the iPod Touch in a long time. I have used a Wifi Router app from XDA.

So, the answer to the OP is 'YES' I think it could be done over Wifi.

But now the question is for what purpose?

Obviously to get an internet connection when you're not near an available hotspot.
