Re: How has your slider mechansim fared so far? Any problems?
My slider is also rock solid....I tend to type both on screen and sometimes with the qwerty physical keyboard...depending on the length of the txt Im composing or replying to. I feel that doesn't wear out the screen nor keyboard out as fast as only using on or the other..
Sadly my G-Sensor went out in my original TP2...and I just recieved a refurb in the mail...to my suprise the life timer only shows 1min 17sec and like 100kb of data use total...no physical blemishes and Sprint even sent a new back cover and standard battery.... I asked a rep about returning the battery and he told me just to keep it....that is unless sprint trys to charge me for it, then I will call them up and send it back or take it into a store and have them contact Sprint CS to take the charges off for it... |

Okay here... mine doesn't fully align when closed after 3 months. You can barely tell though.

Re: How has your slider mechansim fared so far? Any problems?
Had mine since January. My slider is still working very well. All the lights are still bright and all the buttons still work. The tilt feature is still like new although the highest line of buttons are just a shade too close to the frame for typing when the tilt is on (an inconvenience I can easily overlook). Since the overheating issue has been corrected (or at least greatly lessened) I think my slider is fairing way better than expected. That said....
I have found that my TP2 has held up remarkably well! The rubberized case I have seems to make it too bulky so I only use it once in a while. It has fallen on asphault and concrete and slid off the couch, the bed, seat in the car or other similar hights and landings and it still keeps on ticking. I has rolled down a mountain in the rain forest and been played with by my 7 year old, srpayed by water and banged numberous times. The slider, although I admittedly don't use it as much as a serious texter, has held up very well. It didn't loosen up nearly as much as the original TP. I am overall very pleased with the slider and hardware. It is a much better (tougher) design than it's predecessor the Touch Pro. 2 Thumbs up!

compared to a Palm Pre, the slider on the TP2 is phenomenal.

had mine since sprint release... Mines like John Holmes on Viagra, SOLID AS A ROCK lol ... definitely a better mechanisim, IMO, than the TP1(still have 3 of em) and the Mogul had.. those always ended up "loose" or mis-alligined for one reason or another..
