How has your slider mechansim fared so far? Any problems?

Just wanting to see if anyone's had problems with the sliding mechanism for their Touch Pro 2. Lately i've been sliding it up and not supporting it with the thumb and pointer finger and just wondering if the slider will be able to withstand this.

Eh... mine's a SLIGHT bit wobblier but just barely. I can wiggle it like half a millimeter with it shut.

Re: How has your slider mechansim fared so far? Any problems?

I've had 4 TP2's. I've never had any long enough to tell on the quality of the slider. Something else usually goes out before the slider does (screen, microphone, on and on...). The longest I've been with one TP2 was for about 2 months...then something goes out and I get a refurb from Verizon

Re: How has your slider mechansim fared so far? Any problems?

I got my TP2 in late October 2009, and so far my slider is just as tight as it was when I first got it.

Oh yeah, and that's after I've dropped it about seven times...

Re: How has your slider mechansim fared so far? Any problems?

slider is working well. its just everything else with the phone that i have problems with. right now actually when i slide the keyboard up my screen shuts off, but the phone still think its on. so i have to hit sleep button twice to get the screen to turn back on.

still on my first TP2 that i got in october... everything is holding up like a champ. i think 6 months is longer than any of my TPs lasted

*edit* confirmed. i looked at my post history (wasn't entirely sure when i got rid of my vogue and got my tp) and it looks like my longest lasting TP lasted 5 months
