Why do people like using Swype? It seems more complicated than useful.

Didn't read the entire thread just OP but you guys must be kidding me guys?

Swype couldn't be any easier to use!!!

Slide your finger through the keyboard and thats it. If the word is not in there add it by entering by tapping the letters then hit space and it automatically enters it into the dictionary..

Whats so difficult about that. Even my five year old nephew can use it.

Its fairly accurate too Atleast version 1.61 windows (it doesn't work for android) i dont know what version you guys are using.

SWYPE MAKES TYPING IN PORTRAIT SO MUCH EASIER! Since the screen is not too big in portrait You can enter text with a single finger. Landscape Just use the keyboard.

Its too bad V1.61 doesn't work with android. Im using 2.44 and its no as accurate which is a HUGE dissapointment!

I posted this question somewhere else however this looks like more people may read it. and In hopes of getting a response I have a question concerning running android and swype on TP2

Im using version 2.44 on anroid Im experiencing swype occasionally swyping two words when I just enter a single tap. It happens often.

Making it almost unusable.

Could anyone tell me what version works with android.

it really is a good thing to have if you have no keyboard and alot of people that have the epic or evo came from tp2. i like swype but i also switch back to the reg keyboard but it is da bomb

I'm using it in WinMo and Android. Works great in both. Go through the tutorial if it pops up. It really helps get you going.

I know how to use swype. Thats not my question. I know it has tutorials and such. Ive been using it for some time.

My question is Whats a WORKING BUG FREE version for TP2 Android users?

I was using V1.61 about a month or two back then one day it stopped working. You couldn't slide to text you could only tap to text. Its like they somehow stopped it from working.

Then I started using V2.44. however when I tap to start sliding the tab is off base. for example Ill hit delete or backspace and it will slide from an "O" to a "K". MEANING V2.44 has bugs and is not a preferred Swype to use. or when I mean to tap it does a sliding text.
