Why do people like using Swype? It seems more complicated than useful. - Page 6

I actually find Swype rather convenient when I don't want to bother sliding out the keyboard to type. It's great for one handed replies sometimes, and sometimes the predictive spelling cuts the time where I would try to type on the keyboard. However, I find it a bit annoying that after a period, when I start another sentence the word is not spaced so it'd look like 'blah.blah' instead of 'blah. Blah'. Anyway to fix that? Other than that, I like it and I think it's a nice alternative to the onscreen keyboard (which I find for my taste sluggy and annoying at times).

I friggin love it, it's extremely accurate for me it's right 95% of the time

I don't even use the keyboard anymore. I like swype, works great, can send a text in no time flat and don't have to abbreviate anything.

im with that. theres a reason its only illegal for minors in my state. i feel like i multi task well enough to do more than just watch the road. this is an interesting read i foun on yahoo a few days ago...

i tried it, not to shabby, but as i dont use T9 / auto correct / auto completion, its alot faster for me to either use the TP2 KYBD or the stock softkeyboard...

I actually wish FingerBoard would get updated... I really liked it when v2.1 first came out

i dont use T9 / auto correct / auto completion either and swype is much faster than tapping out letters on the stock keyboard or even the hard keyboard. I don't know, maybe you guys that don't like it are lacking coordination or something. Most people here should know where all the letters are on a qwerty keyboard so you should practically be able to spell words using swype without even looking at the keys.

+1 for TellMe.
i use tellme all the time while driving...
swype is awesome once the learning curve is overcome, but not while driving...its too hard to swype, drive, and smoke my "left-handed" cigarettes all at the same time.
