Re: Blast from the past - square oil patch defect
its water damage. its from humidity/condensation or whatever and liquid gets under the screen. Eventually your touchscreen will stop working. As long as they water stickers check out you should be able to get a replacement at the store for free
this happened to me when i had my phone in my pocket on a hott day all day. If you play music through your phone in the bathroom while ur in the shower it could easily happen as well |

this sucks, it kept happening with my TP1. i got this tp2 in exchange for it so it's no longer under warranty. I doubt it's humidity though because I have a invisible shield on this thing. On the TP1 it was a known issue, the same should apply to TP2, any sprint users taken this issue to a store yet? |

Re: Blast from the past - square oil patch defect
Your shield doesnt protect against humidity.

Never had the issue on my TP1 or my TP2. Sounds like the digitizer and screen may not have been glued together fully. Then as said above, the "moisture" seeps in. What kinda shenanigans are you doing with your phones? lol Stop watching teh pron.

Re: Blast from the past - square oil patch defect
Yeah dude this happen to me.. i called sprint they told me to take it to the store that it was a common issue to take it to the store and they were going to replace the screen. drove an hour 1/2 to my nearest sprint store and the manager told me that they couldn’t do anything about it cuz it was normal for a $500+ phone to do that he also ask me if I use my phone too much lol so I got all pissed and left called sprint again the next day they told me to take it again that they had to fix it. I did and the same story they didnt even check my phone. so i decited to use the regit app and deleted some stuff there that made my screen calibration mess upthey end up exchanging my phone lol i know this might be fraut but they didnt wanted to fix my phone they said that happens to all the htc devices and is completely normal. So yeah please don’t flame me!!!
