Re: Sprint Coverage in the bahamas
Yes you will have coverage, it will be international roaming charges and will be very expensive(Voice Pricing: $2.29/minute per sprint.com). Visit a local phone shop there and buy a local SIM card and also a pre-paid calling card for voice usage. You will definitely want to keep your data turned off unless you leverage wifi hotspots, as the data charges will mount significantly as well.

Re: Sprint Coverage in the bahamas
Have you had any issues using prepaid sim cards on sprint touch pro 2s overseas? I am planning a trip to Australia and want to buy a sim card there to use with this phone and just want to make sure I am good to go before I leave!

I recently went on a cruise to the bahamas...If I remember correctly it was roughly $2.05 per minute. If you want to be able to use you phone over there, you do have to call sprint and have them add international roaming to your account. It is free to add this service.

Re: Sprint Coverage in the bahamas
I think it will be a waste to use Sprint Roaming(unless there is a reason) while our TP2 is a world wide phone and can take any GSM sim outside of the US only by changing a setting and popping a SIM in it. That is what I do, that is what I HAVE been doing you can get some SIM's with data or rely on wifi...your call, but 2 bucks a min, I SAY phuk dat

Re: Sprint Coverage in the bahamas
Yeah, I'd think the best way to go would be to get a SIM from a carrier there. Since the TP2 takes international SIMs, it shouldn't be too tough to make work. I would be clueless on how much it would cost you to call back to the states though. Maybe if you also had an international calling card that you used? Maybe someone else can shed some light on the cost to make a call from another country to the US.

Check this thread out, http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?p=1533112 I cant speak from experiance. My vaction to the bajamas is in two months, but Im counting on this info to help me. Even if its not currently true or whatever the case sprint tries to convince me of Ill argue this to rententions. Im sure it will atleast improve whatever the final out come would have been, as thats what I did before(my TP2 was free) and I even brought up the site. For some reason when I did that she (Retentions Manager) began to pay attention. Hope this helps, enjoy your time off!=D>
