6.5 sprint rom dislikes

WM6.5/Sense2.5 has 2 password unlock options. The default is, ironically enough, called 'Windows Default' and has the slide unlock that you are talking about. To change this go to Settings -> Security -> Phone lock (which will ask for your password) -> Click on the 'Display' tab and choose 'Windows Classic' from the pull down.

Click OK and soft reset and you shouldn't need to slide to unlock anymore, you'll just have to input your pin.

how do I bump up the PagePool memory... I heard this speeds up the device a bit. I wouldnt mind doubling it to 30mb ( another 15 wont kill me, I seem to avg 98 available.... )

You can extract the shipped rom exe via 7zip or winrar. Then add this ppool folder to the rom file. Should work fine.

If I choose to install 6.5 and I do not like it, can I hard reset and go back to 6.1?

no you'll need to flash the shipped 6.1 rom. Hard resetting will only bring back the rom that is currently flashed on the phone.
