Sprint 6.5 Close Program

Hi Team,

Ok, not an expert here, but I did try and research the problem before posting.

I guess in 6.5 there is no setting "X to quit", and the equivalent is holding down X to fully close the program?

So I just flashed the stock 6.5 from the stock 6.1 and I am having a helluva time closing programs, either by just tapping or holding down the X button.

What I mean is, I open an application (say the Mail client), and try to exit by either holding down X or just simple tap, and then open the Task Manager - the Mail client is reported as still running.

Help?

Yeah, so far so good for me. I think all of our great chefs have already done this rom months ago but I am hopeful there are some things in this rom that will be helpful in further development. that is with Sense 2.5. Plus there is a new radio so good job Sprint. Yesterday I was convinced it would be just a sense 2.1 rom which would have been cool as well.

Re: Sprint 6.5 Close Program

Just figured out if you go to all settings\buttons you can change the left (phone hard button) long hold to launch htc task manager which is already built in to the rom at release.

Enjoy, rom looks good so far, can't wait to see what the chefs do with it.

Re: Sprint 6.5 Close Program

Thanks all - I've figured out short-cuts for launching Task Manager.

My original question still stands - is there a way for properly closing programs rather than just minimizing them without having to pull up the task manager?

Am I just being dense here?

Thanks

Re: Sprint 6.5 Close Program

WM6.1 had an option in Task Manager to set the behavior of the "X" button (I just checked on my old Mogul). I believe that was the stock Task Manager from MS.

I cannot find that same option in 6.5 probably because it's HTC's Task Manager.
