Am I just being dense here?

Thanks

I cannot find that same option in 6.5 probably because it's HTC's Task Manager.
as it was already said just install the htc task manager cab and it will give you the close by x option it is here http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread...114747&page=14

I installed this cab and checked the box and it still doesn't work. Any suggestions as to why?

Re: Sprint 6.5 Close Program

I have to burn an icon on there so I can do it with one click.

Those icon is now down to 9.

I install the HTC Taskbar, do a cold reboot. Its just like old. Thanks!

Cool Re: Sprint 6.5 Close Program

On the stock Sprint 6.5 ROM, try these steps:

Go to Settings
Go to Menu > All Settings
Select System
Select Task Manager
Navigate to the "Button" tab
Select the option "End programs by tapping 'X'"

Is this what you were looking for?

Totally, was just about to say that.

I just deleted the old 6.1 Task Manager CAB that I had installed on stock 6.5...I didn't like it. I just mapped the 6.5 task manager to a long press for the call-answer button. Seems to work good enough. Helps me quickly kill ActiveSync, which seems to always open itself up.

You can add the htc task manager easily.

Additionally, been using arkswitch of late and its very nice. allows you to pick an area of the taskbar to open it. Latest arkswitch doesnt crash at all either. Very nice. Here's the cabs for both options.

This is not available in 6.5 ROM unless you install one of the tons of cabs that are out there.

I wanna do it myself without having to install a cab.....is there any way to do it by editing registry? please
