PC will not recognize my TP2 at all....

Well... it seems I can't connect my TP2 via activesync or charge via USB on my laptop..... this has been ongoing for a few weeks.... it seems to be a something new since going to the VZW 6.5 "upgrade"..... anyone have a solution to be able to sync either using active sync or as a disk drive or even charge the phone..... it will charge when the phone is off only..... I have unchecked the charge when phone is on box..... unselected the enable faster transfer box..... any help is appreciated...... thank you

First off change your phone under your info because it says xv6800 still. I haven't had an issue. I say do a hard reset and see if some software you install causes an issue.

Try going into USB TO PC settings panel, and unchecking "Enable Faster Data Synchronization."

My wife's TP2 would not connect unless I unchecked that....Apparently HER TP2, uses different drivers than mine?

also make sure you select ACTIVESYNC

If the hard rest doesn't work, try using a different cable you might have already but you didn't say you did so im just assuming you haven't. Because your ROM or Win Mo version shouldn't keep it from charging with it on or syncing

VZ OEM upgrade is EVIL!! Two of my friends wanted to stay on stock rom but they had the same problem as you. I finally convinced them to unlock and flash Mighty rom.. They are both very content.

could be a hardware issue. i had the same problem with my Sprint TP2. 3 different computers wouldn't recognize the phone when connected. Tried all the tips/tricks and nothing worked. I was able to sync via BT.

Sprint replaced it. There are a few threads and a poll regarding this issue.

Verizon replacing the phone.... bad mini-usb connector on the phone.....

Is that a free replacement? Seems with sprint any malfunction with the USB port is considered user damage nowadays. Which means they stiff you with the $100 deductible and you gotta go through Assurion. Weak sauce.

thats not true..I gave a friend a ppc6700 like a month ago and in it the usb port fell off and I soldered it in and a few screws were missing too when I put it back together *whistle*..but it was having keyboard issues and usb was breaking off again and sprint accepted it and exchanged it lol

When visiting a sprint store you always gotta ask them to "fix" not exchange..chances are they'll exchange it anyways
