Dropped Touch Pro 2 in small puddle... help!

Me and a buddy were just talking about this here at work, and he said one time he dropped his phone into the toilet when he tried to take a picture of his hemorrhoids while sitting on the can.

He took the battery and sim card out immediately, went home and put it in distilled water in a tupperware container, and changed the water out all night. The next morning he took it out and let it sit for a week and it was as good as new.
