Error updating weather

Guys as with most of us who wanted custom weather locations, we added a custom weather URL server registry entry to do so. Right now, it seems the weather server is down, in turn causing this error every time the phone tries to check weather. You can temporarily fix this by deleting the following key if it is in your registry:

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\HTC\Manila]
"Weather.ServerURLOverride" <<<<DELETE THIS KEY

Make sure that before deleting that you make a note of the URL for when the server is back up. (Deleting the custom URL may result in not being able to download custom city weather but pre-installed locations should be fine)

thanks. i really never installed any custom weather . but last night i did install one of the weather fixes that flip created. and late last night before going to bed it did actually update , and surely enough i got the connection error again this morning lol.

Looks like the accuweather - see more - link is not working either at the bottom of the weather TF3D tab.

It's not your phone and it's not the network. 99% of the time when this occurs, it's the weather service having issues. Doesn't happen frequently, but it does happen now and again.

sigh, yeah, looks like whatever server that weather city editor spec'd is down. I know I saw a place to change that, maybe it was the old program that worked on 6.1 though cause I can't find it now...

but wait, if its the server then why does the gps loc weather load and the other locs not load?

ive been having the same issue the past few days and like sprints700, mine updated last nite and was broke again this morning when i woke up. i suspected there was something with the url being down after searching online and noticing that others were having the same issue with a different weather database editor that uses the same url mine uses. not to mention several hard resets and other tests... i even got the idea to delete weather.server.url reg entry. after doing that, it allowed me to update the original cities but custom cities give the error...

so... should we be looking for another url or is this site going to start back working? i use falke's editor and it has the option to change the url...

ive been trying to fix this all day, thinking i messed something up lol.

well i think if this is the reason then this is sad on sprints behalf. this is suppose to be should have no issues. "sigh" i guess just have to wait and see. this is only my 5th day with this phone and its a big dissapiontment lol. another piont tooken away from sprint lol

the weather doesnt update from sprint, it updates from some other website.
